What is a good way to correct this computer problem?

Question from a Reader – Answers in Comments

When I am on Mozilla Firefox and am multitasking, like downloading something or even coping a CD, my computer freezes. It never happens when I’m online. How can I fix this problem?

How much ram do you have? Installing more ram is generally the
solution for this kind of problem.

The most likely case is that your computer is overheating. Try opening up the case, zip tying some cords together to make for some more air flow space, and then take some compressed air and blowing the dust out. If that doesn’t help, I don’t know what will.

Your processor doesn’t support multitasking works. Upgrade more
    RAM if necessary.
